Relational Therapy

Relational therapy takes many forms, but at its heart, it's about deepening connection, fostering emotional safety, and helping partners grow together. Whether you're looking to strengthen communication, enhance intimacy, or navigate recurring conflict, this work can support you in creating a more secure and satisfying relationship.

My approach draws heavily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based model rooted in attachment theory that helps couples understand and shift the negative patterns that fuel disconnection. We'll explore the underlying emotions and needs that often go unspoken in conflict, and learn how to express them in ways that invite closeness rather than distance.

Alongside this, we'll build practical communication tools that support empathy, clarity, and vulnerability. These skills help you not only resolve issues more effectively, but also deepen your connection over time. We may also focus on enhancing physical and emotional intimacy, strengthening sexual desire, and creating space for the kind of relationship you and your partner(s) want to build.

Couples therapy can be challenging-there's humor, messiness, frustration, and growth. I bring my full self into the room, using self-disclosure, warmth, and humor where appropriate to create a grounded and collaborative space. I don't sit back with a blank stare; I show up as a human and stay engaged with you in the work.

Together, we'll learn how to interrupt old cycles, move through conflict more skillfully, and cultivate a relationship that feels more connected, responsive, and alive.
